That was awesome!! What does it take to switch from running on gas to methanol? Do you still run 2 cycle oil, same plug, same heads and compression ratio?

The big thing is the compression needs to be raised and the carbs need to be modified. Yes, you do need to use 2 cycle oil. Same spark plugs and cylinders.

That's fast..!!! I noticed that you have to monitor the engine temp. Does the motor have an overheating problem..??? especially with the exhaust pipe tucked next to the heads depriving the motor to sufficient cool air... Are there plans to modify the exhaust so it doesn't block the cool air from the cylinder and head...????

The methanol versions have only been tested in a Baja. It's a noticeable difference compared to a gas engine. We use a temp gun while tuning to make sure both cylinders are running the same. There is another exhaust system available.
